Today Gidon and I received an email from Dan, on the far right, who knew Gidon during his years in Canada, in the HaShomer Hatzair youth group. Kalanit, the woman in the center, was Gidon's girlfriend when this picture was taken! Dan had an interesting tale to relate, which definitely confirms Gidon's "rascal" status!
In the 1950’s when both Gidon and I were in Toronto, Gidon had a job in a sweater factory. (He) was thin enough to hide a sweater inside his pants on the way out of the factory. He provided the whole group with beautiful new sweaters that none of us could have afford otherwise.
