Yesterday on our second day of Stay Close to Home semi-quarantine, Gidon and I went to the park immediately outside our home to get a bit of fresh air. As I grumbled about these crazy times and how I don't really like Scrabble and how I didn't have this letter or that vowel, Gidon good-naturedly said "stop thinking about what you don't have and see what you DO have!"
Once again, I was struck by Gidon's simple wisdom. He doesn't philosophize, he just sees what is in front of him and does his level best. Even if it's just a board game in the middle of a pandemic, Gidon is present and optimistic. He's really something.
