I don't know very many octogenarians who go up in a hot air balloon on their 86th birthday but in March of 2021, that's exactly what Gidon Lev did. We had to get up very early in the morning and meet up with our group - which we booked through Israel-Extreme and it wasn't long after that we were up, up and away, high over the Jezreel Valley. The views were breathtaking. Afterward, we had a wonderful Israeli breakfast at Cafe Golda, which is on Kibbutz Merhavia - where Golda Meir once lived! We had the most marvelous time!
